The Challenge
Hendal Primary School were holding some large containers in their yard in Kettlethorpe, Wakefield.
When these needed to be moved, they approached us to allow a Hiab lorry onto the site.
To prepare for the move, we made sure that all of the necessary temporary roadways were in place to guarantee that there would be no access problems or delays due to poor ground conditions at the school.
The fence had also been cut open to allow the lorry access to the yard (and allow the now empty containers to be moved out easily). But when the Hiab supplier didn’t show up, this created a huge challenge for our customer, and they needed a different solution.
The Solution
Because we have experience working on a large number of projects similar to this one, we were more than happy to get in touch with one of our preferred suppliers to help our customer arrange a new crane.
We engaged the services of Rob at PP Engineering, who arrived at the site to meet our customer within 1.5 hours to discuss the project and find out exactly what needed to be done. They were then booked to move the containers later that week (with our team collecting the trackway the day after), allowing the job to go ahead with as little delay as possible.
